"A-Un"
The theme for fall/winter 2021 is "A-Un". In esoteric Buddhism, it is a word that represents the universe from its beginning to its end, and its origin comes from the expression ``Aun's Breathing,'' which describes two people acting together, even breathing in sync. The source of inspiration was Kazuo Shiraga and Fujiko Shiraga, a couple who are two of Japan's leading artists.

Kazuo Shiraga was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1924. He established a technique called ``foot painting,'' in which he uses his feet like brushes to draw while holding on to a rope hanging from the ceiling. Many of his works were created with the support of his wife, Fujiko, who was an artist herself, with a literal sense of ``Aun.''
